By doing this, we can use the upvote system to measure severity/frequency and also provide the developers with more info than simply, "Hey, this thing is not working, can you fix? Thanks." While allowing less severe/frequent bugs some more visibility instead of flooding the thread with the same bug. If you wish to report a bug and see that it's already reported, then just reply to that comment. If you have a workaround for that bug, then comment it on that post.

Launch Error: EasyAntiCheat not installed

Hello, if you chose "No" when asking for Easy Anticheat to be installed after the Fortnite update, you will need to install it. You will be unable to start Fortnite without this program. The easiest way to install it is to just exit the EAC launcher and run the game again from the Epic Games Launcher and click yes when the EAC install prompt comes up from Windows.

If the prompt doesn't come up for some reason you will have to install it manually following these steps:

Navigate to the Easy Anti Cheat folder in your Fortnite install directory [Default is C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64\EasyAnt iCheat Folder]

Locate EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe

Double click the file

Click the install Easy Anti Cheat button

Start the launcher and Fortnite

Epic - have some damned respect for your players

Normally I don't bitch too much about Epic's design decisions, but seeing this 'nerf pre-existing perks' shit happen again is pushing it.

Some of us have put a lot of time (and/or) money into this game (many others more than I have) trying to get those good rolls. We throw away the ones that don't work, the pieces that don't fit, and we keep the lucky ones as our favourite guns. But aparently we can't have nice things.

You've gutted a pre-existing perk - suddenly invalidating the ton of weapons we've been collecting. Anyone remember the player who rolled a miraculous Launcher with -100% durability decay? Lol not anymore - because you gutted durability perks immediately after. Yeah, that launcher was something of an extreme case - but instead of fixing that issue in particular, you fucked the perk on all existing weapons. Your response time on killing this perk was amazing, by the way. Hey, are shurikens fixed yet?

"But crit damage was buffed"

But the dedicated playerbase threw away all our weapons with just fucking crit damage, because it's shit. Our pre-existing collections are getting fucked on the excuse that the trash we already threw away is 'more viable'. You have no goddamn respect for the time we've already put into collecting our weapons.

Now we can't have nice things. We can't have a fun and exciting weapon that we treasure, because Epic is liable to rollback and retroactively nerf our Nice Things.

I wouldn't be nearly as fucked off if this didn't effect weapons retroactively. That way, we'd be able to keep our existing collections and re-evaluate future rolls in light of the new perk changes. I have no idea if this change to crit is retroactive - but knowing how Epic's handled perks in the past, I'm not optimistic.

TL;DR Nothing is sacred when Epic can retroactively screw our favourite pre-existing weapons on a whim.

No matter how much you progress or level up it's useless since everything is nerfed or scales for balance purposes

Even fucking harvest weapon levels, resources extracted from pickaxe and resource nodes hp levels.

Its all pointless and you are punished for trying to get stronger.

Its all a huge grindfest. There is no satisfying feeling in getting stronger.

We are not "chinese" farmers, stop fine tuning everything to a infinite grind

Let us be powerful let us stomp, weaker enemies, let us play rewarding missions, let us feel strong, let us get cool weapons, survivors and heroes without being behind a paywall, time farm wall

Let us play with friends without getting punished, let us play how we want without punishing us.

Every single element of gameplay here is focused on grinding and rng to incentive us to buy vbucks and it makes the game boring.

Nobody that is up to PL100 missions will EVER help a lowbie EVER AGAIN with this change. There is zero reason to do anything else. Even a PL94 stat caps you below a PL100's stat cap.

My dragon's roar got fucking destroyed, ALL THE TIME I INVESTED GRINDING SCHEMATIC XP IS GONE. You destroy my weapon and then i have to take a PENALTY recycling the damm thing?, PLUS DESTROYING THE SCHEMATIC??? PLUS ALL THE LLAMA/PERKS RNG ON TOP????

I even invested in some traps to make a "synergy" with my rolls, and now everything is garbage..,

Edit: there isn't even a POP UP IN GAME, telling you that your weapon got "changed".

Wukong, the new "mythic" reskinned berserker, give him spear damage bonuses along with the berserker abilities and you actually have a unique hero worthy of mythic standing.

There are 7 other soldiers in this game. Well 9 others, if you count Raptor and Havoc. Any time something comes around it's Jonesy, Jonesy, Jonesy. Spitfire and Banshee are sitting there twiddling their thumbs hoping they'll get a new class anytime soon, while Jonesy is busy showing off his 8 character class cards to everyone because he's Epic's favorite child.

Another note is the Party Share Cap affects you as well. Even if you're alone you won't get full benefit of your party share FORT stats if they happen to be higher than the cap for the mission.

I now want to take a moment to call someone out. No abuse or anything.

I claimed in another thread that lower zones capped your Effective Weapon Level, or how I said it, your weapons scaled down with the zones. Previously this was PL20 for SW, 30 for Plank, and so on. Now replaced with those numbers above, per mission.

He replied, calling it an Urban legend, and continued to argue against it even after showing him that the game listed the lowered effective weapon level in the mission stats while loaded into a lower power zone. He then claimed I should test it instead of making said claim. Although in this case, he's the one claiming what the game states is wrong, the burden of proof should be on him.

So I tested it, which due to being unable to offload enough Offense to test prior to this patch, I am now able to. Mainly because I stopped porgressing in Plankerton by choice.

The Offense values are as close as I could get them.

Level 29 Semi Auto Rifle, no perks. Offense 375 in a PL28(Gun capped at L26) Zone. 376 Damage Body Shots.

Same Rifle. Offense 374 in a PL40(Gun no longer capped) Zone. 400 Damage Body Shots.

No other differences of any kind.

EDIT: This means that the Effective Weapon Level Cap that is listed in a mission is correct, even if your Effective Weapon Level from the skill tree is higher. Weapons DO scale down as you drop down to lower power zones.

Screwed over the solo players

They changed missions to suit groups and never supplement the solo player needs. Look Epic people play solo for a reason. Either to escape toxic players or they suffer social anxiety. So why is it you felt the need to cap traps, weapons and abilities for those who thrive in the lower levels. Whats the point of leveling up when a item you worked hard for that turns out no better then a weaker one in some given area. It just doesn't make sense. You punish players for progression is that? I don't get it. Putting caps on players who go lower level is just stupid.

Headhunter has the highest dps of any soldier and it's not even close. Not only does she have a full 45% debilitating shots but she also has the insane fire rate buff and 30% reload speed. And to top it all off she has the best grenade other than the mythic. The only thing she is missing is war cry instead of going commando. It's ridiculous how much better she is than the other soldiers and there is zero reason to use any other soldier over her. And now that crit is nerfed she probably has the best support slot as well.

Im tired of using the same heroes every game because the other heroes are much weaker and pointless to use.

If you are wondering where balancing, nerfing and reskins are going to take you. Please check the status of Destiny 2 and it's dwindling playerbase. I don't even understand why you're nerfing items when its not hurting anything.

I really don't want to stop playing this game but if I see anymore similarities to you path and Bungies I'm out and I'm taking my friends and money with me.

  • Nerfing is never the answer unless its gamebreaking. If its benefiting players leave it because you did your job.
  • Balancing is never the answer because loot games are not meant to be balanced. Some items,weapons/heroes are supposed to be better than others.
  • Reskins tell us you have ran out of ideas and are trying to cash out.

Please do not go through with this path and listen to your players.

Thoughts on Critical Chance nerf

Weapon rolls with critical chance got lowered.

Used to be 14% / 21% / 28%

Now it's 11.5% / 16.5% / 21%

I personally have a couple of my favorite weapons getting pretty hurt by this change, including a sword I use for my ninja, that will now put out less reliable dps, and a pistol for my outlander that used to have 100% critical chance with ranger deadeye.

What are your thoughts? Is the nerf fair? Unnecessary? Does it potentially ruin some of your favorite weapons?
