I would love to get this information to the dev team to get this resolved once-and-for-all. One of the best ways to respond and receive the quickest resolution is on our official forum post. However, if you have encountered this issue and are unable to use our forums please answer the following: What is your in-game user name? Case number (If you sent a request in) Where you spamming buttons when loading in? Did this issue resolve itself after re-launching the client? EPIC, Please do a purge of all credit card info on accounts Posted: 05 Mar 2018 05:15 PM PST There seems to be a lack of internal security with all the recent account thefts and 100s of dollars being spent. Why is there no flag system to put suddenly large transactions on hold until the email linked to the account approves the transaction? When an account suddenly spends 800 Euros ($987.86 USD) or another one spends 1200 GBP ($1662.52 USD), or another one suddenly spends $644 USD....why is there no internal flag on that? In the past month I can count over 10 posts on this reddit alone talking about how people have had their accounts hacked and had 100s of dollars spent. In fact, over $4,816 USD have been stolen from players most of which has been refunded. One player from France woke up to an email saying that he spent 200 Euros on RUSSIAN COPIES. EPIC has already passed the buck by saying that players need to stop sharing passwords and stop reusing passwords. But that was not even a posted bulletin where players can see. EPIC just purge the saved cards from accounts of fortnite. It is that simple. Purge and put out a notice that informs the players that the purge was done due to growing account theft and fraudulent charges from stolen accounts. This will make a good bit of player change their password at the same time. Account theft will drop fairly rapid as thieves will learn that most accounts for STW no longer have payment info attached to them anymore. And after that is all done, why not work up a system to flag rapid, large, or suspicious transactions to require approval from the accounts email before processing? Because spending 1600 USD in under an hour on this game should really raise a lot of questions and red flags. Why is there no system to require the person to re-enter the CCV? The most basic protection measure. As one user pointed out to me, when their account was hacked, they found out that there is no protection in place at all, and that people were able to charge everything to their bank card without being asked for any protection info. Late Night Edit: EPIC why do you not alert the Email that the account is being logged in via a foreign location, or even lock the account? I did some testing and proved without a doubt that I can take my US based account, log in from anywhere in the world, and not be alerted about it. How many other basic protections are you guys missing? This has gone from a simple, hey you should do a purge of payment info to help prevent and really stop all the account theft and fraud, to OMG WHY IS THERE NO PROTECTION AT ALL? For a multimillion dollar company you guys seem to have some really glaring issues. If I was an investor, I would have never invested or even pulled out my investment at this time. If anyone gets onto my account, they would have no issue at all spending 1000s of dollars. There are no safeguards, you guys protect my account as much as you care about my hair.....not at all. PL49 doing a PL46 mission in Plankerton. Just got into a game with three PL10-15 leechers Posted: 05 Mar 2018 09:49 PM PST As the title says, I'm PL49 and queued up for a PL46 mission in Plankerton. I got into a game with PL10-15 leechers. If I realized their PL beforehand, I would have most certainly backed out of the game a lot sooner. Because them being in such a high level mission is more of a hindrance than help. On Xbox the UI is a little bugged, so the only way of checking someone's PL is actually clicking on their name and waiting for the PL to stop rising (at least in my experience this recent patch). Anyways, I go to the objective, make some walls, upgrade them, and create and lay traps I've had pre-built. While doing this, not a single person came and helped me. One player stood next to me just staring at me while the others just kept farming. Keep in mind, this is at least several minutes into the game already. I didn't think anything of it at the time so I used the team chat to ask if anyone was ready. No response. So I wait a few minutes and decide to start the mission up in hopes they'd realize this and help out. No one. I check their PL at this point and realize they're all extremely low levels for this mission. One of them asks: "any1 have any guns to give me?" and I throw him a bone hoping he'd at least help out in defenses or traps. Nope. He promptly goes back to farming. Then they have the gall to ask "do you have any malachite???". I did not give them a dime and from now on, I will never give anyone who asks for anything a damn thing unless they help out with the objective prior. Why are low PL players even allowed to continue queuing in higher PL missions?? (side note: all three of them had BR banners <_<) It's freaking ridiculous. This is not the first time it's happened since the event came out too. EPIC, something needs to be done about this asap. Unfortunately it would appear that there are some individuals targeting people who use this subreddit to try and send them malicious links. While, as far as I have seen, the messages do not contain any link, they could easily add one in later, especially if you reply to them. Here is an example message. As you can see, it was directed towards me. If you happen to get a message from these people, please do not respond. Instead, report them to reddit. So far it's only been one account sending out the messages, and said account is banned from posting anything on this subreddit. However, they can still see what's on here, meaning they can still find users to message. If you have clicked any links they sent, or downloaded anything from them, you need to delete whatever it was and promptly run a virus scan. I would also recommend changing your password from a different machine, as if you're infected you're just handing them the keys. Petition to add a legacy music option in the settings Posted: 05 Mar 2018 05:28 PM PST Don't get me wrong, the new music is great. However, a lot o people including me don't like how dramatic it is/it feels like we're playing the Sims in the menu screen. The old music is chill and more mysterious, and it couldn't HURT the game to have a 'legacy music' option in the settings. Defenders suck and here's how to fix it Posted: 06 Mar 2018 05:18 AM PST Which enemies to shoot at I don't want my brawler to stay out there when they're lobber shooting at him, I don't want him to somehow expect them to come to him. Just like I don't want my sniper to shoot the small fries, I want it to shoot the lobbers and the propane husks. Same problem with the shotgun defenders who tries to snipe enemies across the map, I want it to focus on the nearest fat husk. By adding a enemy selector, even by groups (light/heavy/distance/bosses), it will make it a lot easier to strategize defenders. Aggressive / defensive slider Defenders take a long time to revive, longer than another player. That's a thing I can understand if you give you the ability to make it NOT suicidal. Give me a slider that will make him prioritize offense or self preservation, let me see that brawler run for cover and wait for his shield to come back. Even a 3 state slider (aggressive/balanced/defensive) would be perfect to adapt defenders to easy and hard missions. Defender cooldown (4 players) Defenders are meant to be use instead of players, so if you let the matchmaking fill the whole squad, your defenders are useless. With a cooldown, a duration per mission or a kill count, four players can strategize their defenders. Let's say that you can only use your defenders 2 minutes, four players using them in turn would make 8 minutes of support. Defenders will acts as a third gadget, useful but limited in use. Posted: 05 Mar 2018 08:25 AM PST I been seeing alot of posts complaining about wasting twice as many weapon materials in low lvl missions because of the player nerf on lower missions. Which I think it's the wrong way to do it as you already get punished by not getting commander points. Until yesterday it hit me. While playing a few canny missions I got skill points that I was able to use in my pick axe. It made it look different. Epic quality, it had a blue glowing tip. I enjoyed destroying things just for the pure enjoyment of looking at it. But since it's early canny and players seem to be rare, I couldn't find any others to play with. So I went down to plank to continue enjoying my new pick and getting that seasonal gold... Well my enjoyment soon ended, as I log into a mission and my shiny new pick axe was gone. All that time played all that grind to get better stuff to feel more powerful... All for nothing. It might not hurt gameplay at all, it was just the thought of being ripped off something I work for. Epic needs to get a system where they don't strip you off of your hard work and hours spent. Why progress in the game when the guy that joined yesterday had the same guns, traps... Pickaxe. Event PSA - Obtaining Exploration Medal in Missions reveals all Envelope Fireworks. Posted: 05 Mar 2018 08:30 AM PST As the title states, if you havnt noticed yet ingame, when you explore the mission zone and get the Exploration Medal then all the envelope fireworks will appear on the map so you dont have to look for them. First thing i do when joining a mission is hop on the hoverboard and go around the edge of the map then search the center area, followed by picking up all envelopes before proceeding to do the mission. We Need Better Support! Posted: 05 Mar 2018 05:45 PM PST Alright Epic, enough of this Battle Royale stuff. It seems that you're supporting BR more than PVE, the original game. PVE needs more support. Seriously? BR has had 2 map updates in the span of a few months, yet we don't even get anything of that scale. And what's worse, you're not even promoting Save The World! When you go to epicgames.com, the first thing you see it Fortnite, the brand new game. This wouldn't be so bad if it was PVE instead of BR. The main game is Save The World, but BR is getting more attention even though it's just a game mode. When you go to the Fortnite specific page, you only see BR. The only time you see Save The World is when you actually go to the buy menu. When you go the standard edition (which I'm assuming most people would buy), you only get like 3 images, and only 1 showcases the actual game! And don't even get me started on promoting the game. The only ads (or trailers) I ever see are for BR and not PVE. PVE gets it every once in awhile, maybe for each update. But on the other hand, BR gets new trailers every few weeks or so! Some of the stuff in BR is just ripped straight from PVE, and they "announce" it as new for BR. Come on Epic, this isn't helping. As a PVE player, I've had enough of this.
